Philosophy of Education
Physical education is an integral part of the total educational program of each student at Holy Family. The physical education classes will give the students opportunities to create, learn, enjoy and participate in skill development through a wide variety of physical activities that have lifelong value.
 
By offering a variety of activities, the physical education classes will provide for continuous development of each student’s mental, physical, social, emotional and spiritual capabilities.
 
Curriculum Summary

Primary Level: The concentration is on gross and fine motor skill development. Students participate in a wide variety of games and activities to promote these skills.
 
Intermediate Level: The concentration is on developing sport skills while working cooperatively with partners/groups. The emphasis is on lead-up games and activities.
 
Middle School Level: The concentration is on lifetime activities, sports and fitness. The emphasis is not only on the activities but also on working in cooperative groups, setting personal goals and accepting individual differences.
