Philosophy on Counseling and Education
I believe that each student is special and brings a unique perspective and insight into the classroom. We must respect and nurture those differences to create an accepting school environment. I hope to build confidence and self-esteem in my students by creating a safe atmosphere in which they feel comfortable exploring their thoughts and feelings. I strive to find creative ways to motivate students to be involved in their own education and encourage them to become independent critical thinkers.

My goal, as your counselor, is to help students grow socially, interpersonally, spiritually and academically. This will be achieved through classroom guidance activities and individual or small group meetings. Activities taught in the classroom will foster the development of life skills and introduce positive ways for students to cope with and respond to themselves, others and the world around them.

I firmly believe in the importance of collaborating with parents, teachers and administrators to promote a caring and supportive school environment in which all students can achieve success.
